Hello and welcome back. I'm back up North...for a whole month!
I headed off to St. John's in late April then hit Calgary, Vancouver, Whistler and then Ottawa before turning North. I survived the 3 day/night Trade Show in Iqaluit the next week and then packed my bag the next Monday and went back to St. John's. I spent the long weekend on the East Coast and then headed to Ottawa where I waited for a nice sunny day, enjoyed the day and then flew back North on Sunday. And yes, I'm tired.
I am now preparing for a visit by Aunt F and Aunt F. YEAH!!! Ladies, I'm still not sure how we are going to fill all your time (as brief as it is) but we will certainly try. A visit to the Legislative Assembly is on the list, the museum, an art gallery, and a few of the stores that sell carvings. No trip to the North is complete without a trip to the grocery store...just to see for yourselves the prices I pay for food. Don't forget to pack warm clothes, we are still hovering around 0 most days and while they haven't shown up yet, snow flurries were in the mix for today. And don't forget your cameras!
I've been having some wonderful visits with old and new friends on my past couple of trips and enjoying all the things that Southern Canada has to offer. I had a Mustang rented last week in Ottawa and yes, it was wow. I had a chance to take it out on the highway Saturday and while I didn't open it up as far as it could go, I certainly had a great ride. (Speeding ticket on wheels!) I've had two hairs cuts and colour treatments in less than a month and am still not happy with the cut. I don't have much hair left up top to cut again so may need to wait for it to grow out a bit before I can attempt the third cut. So much for letting it grow.
I'm looking for volunteers to help me take the sand out of the back of my truck some evening this week. Anyone? And I could really use some help in washing it as well. I'm sure you will let me know if you are available.

You are a woman who takes a stand for sure. Now that you have vented I hope you feel better. I don't know if your blog is a CLM or not but you have said your piece and said it clearly.
I can volunteer to help clean the sand out of your truck. I'll never have to be taken up on my offer so it is easy to offer!
I do hope your aunts have a totally terrific time visiting with you. How absoutely lovely for you to have "home" visitors. I'm glad they are going and that you know someone from home came while you were still living there. How awful it would have been for you to end your work term and no one to have come.
I'm afraid I'm not going to be one of those visitors. As much as I like you Jennifer, I'm not going "North".
